A naturally low carb recipe made with a blend of tomato sauce and spices for a delicious taco sauce that is excellent for topping tacos, nachos, and more.
This homemade Taco Sauce recipe is a super easy to make condiment recipe made with tomato sauce and spices. It is very likely you already have all the ingredients you need to make this right in your pantry! This recipe is as simple as opening a can of sauce, adding some spices, a bit of sweet and acid, and simmering it over the stovetop for a few minutes to thicken.
Homemade TacoSauce is delicious on Loaded Nachos, Turkey Tostadas, and I love it on scrambled eggs or omelettes. I also use it as an ingredient in our favorite Thanksgiving leftover recipe for Chipotle Cranberry Sauce.
Why Buy When You Can Make It At Home
With the way 2020 has been going, I have been making a lot of staples that I used to just buy in the store right at home. Since I have been doing so, I realize, the stuff we buy in the store really has too many ingredients in it that I just don't want to consume.
This recipe is so simple. Those who love their Mexican or Tex-Mex recipes the way I do will love being able to make this sauce and have it on hand. And, they will feel good knowing they aren't adding a bunch of preservatives or things like modified food starch to their sauce.

Awesome sauce. I made mine with fresh tomatoes, fresh garlic and fresh onions, etc... I puréed it in the nutribullet with a tad extra salt since I was not using processed tomatoes and it came out awesome! Yum! Yum!Reply
