My Singing Monster: All Epic Wubboxes Ranked (2024)

My Singing Monsters has been around for a long time and has grown into spinoffs, prequels, and console titles. The Original My Singing Monsters was released in 2012 and became a stand-out due to its music-building mechanics. The monsters and Wubboxes are found within a range of cute and creepy in their design; it all comes down to personal taste when deciding which is your favorite.

Epic Wubbox is an addition to My Singing Monsters, with a bit of new lore sneaking around. Unlike the other monsters in the game, they come from supernatural origins. Not much is known about where they came from or what they want, but they are here spreading their sound over all the other monsters. Let’s see where they fall in the ranks.

5 Air

When it comes to harmony, Air just isn't meshing with either the other Wubbox or the other monster's melody. Decked out in giant insect-like wings hanging from his face, his design is pretty spot-on for his air theme. If you were to judge his sound, his melody isn't bad, at least until he opens his mouth and is screaming in your face like a jump scare. It's just straight disrespect of the song and your ears. That alone isn't the worst part, though.

You can put your Epic Wubbox on different islands, and they will play different songs based on the island's theme. However, when you gather the crew on Air Wubbox's island, they completely overshadow his performance on his island. How is that even possible? It's your home island!

4 Water

The water Wubbox is a chill guy. His belly is reminiscent of an old-school diving helmet, while his arms look similar to hydraulic pumps. Water doesn’t demand your attention by yelling in your face, nor does he stand out much when you place him with other monsters and Wubboxes. He does come with a melody that isn’t coming from his mouth but instead presents itself in the form of tiny bubbles that exit from his elbows.

All of that doesn’t matter to Water Wubbox in the slightest. His happy-go-lucky demeanor is infectious, and most in the monster fandom can agree that he is just here for the vibes and would genuinely be happy chilling anywhere else he could. A fact that the fandom can wholeheartedly agree with.

3 Ice

Yes, his music is pretty…chill. He also has a decent beat drop. Still, there's something a little off-putting about the icicles attempting to hide his lack of a head, making his appearance a bit intimidating. Couple that with the way he starts into your soul as he dances, and you've got an intense Wubbox on your hands. But that’s only in appearance. His song stands out the most if you were focusing on how much they've borrowed from dubstep, but that's not a negative. It works against the harsh cold.

He doesn't have the same happy-go-lucky demeanor as our good friend Water, but his patented beats can blend under the music just as much as Water’s softer bubbles can, and when you are trying to be heard over the violently loud Air Wubbox, you’ll have to bring your best game. Ice Wubbox, unfortunately, doesn't have the melody to stand out when playing with the other Wubboxes in the band and sounds better when it's just him alone or with the other non-Wubbox monsters.

2 Earth

It’s difficult to describe it, but when you hear the Earth Wubbox’s beat, you can somehow just feel the dirt and rocks inside of it. It’s gritty and pretty high on everyone’s favorite list. The percussion just hits differently from the rest, save for one, and you would feel the lack of its presence if you were to take him out of the lineup.

His visuals are equally impressive, as the construction elements just ties all of it together. Out of the bunch, the tempo of his song is faster than the others, giving him a slight edge over the others and giving off the leader of the band vibes, egging them on to keep up with his guttural bass sounds. Some do better than others, but as long as they remain one band, they’ll make one harmonious sound.

1 Plant

If the Earth is the bass holding the song together, then the Plant Wubbox is the melody that adds some spice to the song. They use their creepy-looking ribcage to create a sound similar to maracas, which creates a contrast to the other Wubboxes. Turns out the plant and water have a lot in common since they both have a sound that isn’t directly tied to being based in, well, bass.

Where water’s bubbles get lost within the group as a whole on composer island, Plant’s ribs can stand against the overwhelming boom of stomps, claps, and shouts (looking at you, Air). His playing vaguely reminds you of a xylophone, but with only one note. A good note, but just one note.
