DO NOT BOOK WITH DANA! I have been getting Brazilian waxes for 10+ years and never have I ever had a worse experience than today with Dana at the Manor location. It is “painfully” evident that she does not know how to properly perform this service. Save yourself the unnecessary pain, swelling, bumps, redness, and irritation to your skin in what will no doubt result in ingrown hairs (I literally never get these btw) and overall unhealthy regrowth. I am not an esthetician, nor do I claim to have profound knowledge on how to perform a Brazilian wax, but I have become familiar with the procedure itself, what to expect, and how it should look and feel in the end simply from visiting a multitude of various different waxing boutiques in Austin (and on this I spare no expense). I have even gone almost a full year without one (pandemic days) and experienced great results with minimal pain, in fact with a wonderful esthetician from this same business and location. Dana does not hold your skin down with her free hand when pulling each strip. This results in UNNECESSARY pain and tons of hairs left behind, which she had to painfully tweeze one by one. She even had to re-wax spots she already waxed multiple times. OUCH!

This is my second time here and Olivia was great she was very friendly and she made me feel very comfortable. At this time she was the only person working but , she made sure she answered all the incoming calls plus knocking out clients without rushing. She also recommended some very good products and gave me tips on my after care! Definitely recommend this place and if you can, book with Olivia you will not regret it.

I visited this location yesterday and I’m disappointed in the results. When I arrived, I explained to the esthetician, Beth, that my ultimate goal was to leave with two eyebrows that look the same. As, I have a slight arch on my left brow and a straight brow on my right. A simple request, just make sure the brows are the same. I suggested arching both, since I already have a slight arch to the left. I gave permission to thin out, to cut, to pluck and do whatever else needed to be done to just achieve two brows that resembled each other. Well, apparently those clear and concise instructions fell on deaf ears. Sadly, Beth did little to no improvement. I ended up with, what I had expressed I did not want, two different eyebrows. This is highly upsetting but I guess not surprising especially when the website tag line is “WE SPECIALIZE IN THE BRAZILIAN.” This should have been my first clue. Perhaps, I got someone who specializes in Brazilian but certainly not eyebrows. I even said before I left, you didn’t do what I asked for to which Beth responded, Yeah, I can see if I can try again. Huh? Why would I want someone to “try again” when I had clearly outlined what I was there for in the beginning. We had a full 5 minute consultation about my brows, expectations and fears prior to beginning. If she did NOT feel as if she could complete this task, did not have the skills to do so OR felt uncomfortable, as a professional, I expect a transparent response of I’m not able to do that or let me get someone else. However, the response was, I will make sure you have two brows that look the same. It is crystal clear that Beth does not have the skills to wax eyebrows! Insanely upsetting especially because I live across these street. I will now physically drive to a different business and freely pay to have someone who can wax brows adequately before I ever step foot into this location again. I thing the most upsetting part, outside of brows being 2 different sizes is the complete lack of empathy when I called her out and the feeling of being rushed let alone the lack of professional integrity.

Only giving this business 2 stars because they were not welcoming at all, but my under arms are okay. This was my first time doing waxing under my arms and I had lots of questions, but when I wasn’t told my waxers name, (which I never got) I knew I wouldn’t be back. The girl who did my wax didn’t ask if I had done this before until she was already prepping my arms, she also didn’t ask if I had any questions. She tried to start conversation here and there, but it seemed as if she wasn’t really interested. I didn’t feel welcomed and because of that and the poor customer service, I won’t be back.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. I’ve gone there for a Brazilian about 6 times now and they are consistently very clean, the wax itself is a noticeably superior product and the customer service is always on point. Sheena (not sure if I’m spelling her name right) is the best! I recommend them to anyone.

1 word: awesome! Lengthy: I went in for my appointment and was greeted right when I walked in, and I felt comfortable. I had questions, and talked with the receptionist until it was my turn, and also during the whole process conversation was going on, and at no time did I feel uncomfortably exposed. I’m glad I did this at Pretty Kitty, and my back feels better than I had expected. Thank you.

I have been getting consistent Brazilians here and one thing remains the same… the staff always tries to make, what can be the worst experience ever, to be as quick and with as little pain as possible. I’m always in and out in less than 10 minutes. 10/10 will recommend again and again
